Paul Cobb
Managing Director
After completing Agri Business and Marketing at Harper Adams, Paul has been designing bespoke nutrient management plans based on quality test results since 1996. He specialises in high scale strategy for securing the right product at the right time and has developed his client base right across the country mainly working with multi-disciplined Agri-businesses. Paul watches the international markets closely and has built an enviable reputation for driving savings through his careful timings in securing client fertiliser purchases.
Joanna Cobb
Director FACTS
FACTS qualified Joanna has been involved in this industry for over 20 years, with experience in accounts, marketing, HR and strategy as well as in nutrient management planning. She specialises in supporting out team, helping them create and build relationships with clients and suppliers. The goal is to help clients plan cropping, improve yield and crop quality and securing products at the right time to ensure we fit within client budgets.
Ruth Alexander
Company Accounts
Ruth grew up on a Herefordshire family run farm enjoying all the elements that this had to offer. She attended Usk College of Agriculture studying Farm Secretarial/ Accounting. She has worked alongside Paul and Joanna for 20+ years as their bookkeeper, and has seen the Company evolve and grow, and enjoys being part of the team that controls the day to day efficient running of the business.
Jen Pennington
Logistics & Operations
Jen grew up on her family farm in Herefordshire, she has previously worked in agricultural software to assist farmers and agronomists reduce paperwork when it comes to farm audits and has also worked in Maritime logistics. She has now decided to combine the two and is looking after Logistics and Operations at Cobb Agri making sure all solid and liquid deliveries including the lime and fibrophos are delivered and spread with ease. Along side this, Jen helps assist the sales team with orders and accounts
Kathryn Walker
Client Manager & Sales FACTS
Kathryn is a Beef and Sheep farmers daughter from Monmouthshire. She is a FACTS qualified advisor with specialist interest in grassland and forage production including maize and root crops targeting crop yield and quality. She enjoys working with farming clients to add value to their businesses through tailored cropping and reseeding plans, cost effective nutrition solutions and sound advice.
Jessica Smith
Client Manager & Sales FACTS
Initially from rural Oxfordshire Jess has been based in Herefordshire since completing her degree at Hartpury Bristol UWE. Jess joined the Cobb Agri team in 2016 and has continued to develop her role within the company. Being FACTS qualified she works closely with a wide range of clients. She enjoys developing individual nutrient plans to suit their needs making sure they are tailored to be cost-effective for her clients and follows through with arranging sales of the required products. Jess specialises in working with clients who are multi-enterprise, complex and highly progressive agri businesses.
Molly Gray
Client Manager & Sales
Molly is from a farming family in Herefordshire, she joined Cobb Agri after completing her degree in Rural Enterprise and Land Management at Harper Adams University in 2020. On a day to day basis Molly is out on farm, introducing Cobb Agri to clients, undertaking our soil testing programme, recording all test results, designing fertiliser policies, farm and application maps. Molly covers Herefordshire, Worcestershire, Gloucestershire, Oxfordshire and Warwickshire.
Becky Howells
Soil Testing & Sales
Becky helps run our comprehensive soil testing programme. Each year we carry out approximately 5,000 tests for nutrients in the soil and also grain, leaf and manure tests. All this data is then processed, assessed and recorded so that we can make you your bespoke recommendations. It all begins with a test and Becky is the one to make sure these are done accurately and on time. Following a review of the results she is able to make pH and nutrient improvement recommendations and assist with product sales. She grew up in the foothills of the Black Mountains on a livestock farm and has previously worked at Hereford Market.
